flying boat

This vehicle, made by Seair, is a true all-terrain vehicle. Though the use of a glider, speedboat and a sand sailor it can travel on land, air and sea. You simply attach a glider to a boat or trike and you're ready to go. it runs just like a regular speedboat or trike and and can take off like a glider. It is $21,000 and only takes a few hours to learn how to fly. You don't even need a pilot's liscence. If you think your  is all-terrain, think again.

I mostly liked this class for this marking period. Some things were a little boring but all together it was a good time. I would have liked a project a little more creative, like maybe instead of a social networking site we could come out with a new entertainment product or something. Still, better than most of my class.

Roofing with my Dad

Are you afraid of Heights?

If not what if it is 20 feet high
On a 8 inch plank
held up by inch thick poles
of different heights
carrying fifteen pounds of shingles
in 20 mile an hour wins?

That's what I did with my dad this weekend. I'm trying to earn enough money to go to Stokes. I can't really complain, I make good money and have a lot of fun. Plus we get McDonalds for lunch.

Hovercraft

The airboard, with the combination of electric motor and a cusion of air allows you to hover over the ground. Created by Arbortech thi.s is the same seen at the 2000 olympics. It's fiver feet in diameter and weighs 150 pounds. It's started by an electric motor and switches to gas after startup. It is steered solely by shifting body weight. One handle controls the brake and the other the clutch. It can go up to 90 minutes on a full tank and the maximum speed is 25 mph. It can ride on ay decently flat surface and can do most of the tricks a skateboard can do. Riding it is described as a combonation of flying and skiing. It cost $10,000 and is ready to use right out of the package. It has been the dream of many for decades and is the perfect big boy play toy.

It's now twice as awesome

Self-Driving Car

This car, invented by Google, has been on the roads as part of a secret test. Each had someone at the wheel, but not driving! This works by the camera on top creating a 3-D map of the area around it, motion sensors on the front and back see incoming cars and a camera on the inside roof looking for bicyclists and pedestrians. With over 70 different test drives with only two incidents (a bicyclist cutting a red light and someone rear ending it) All you have to do is put where you want to go in the GPS and it will do the rest! If you wish to cease control all you is press the button on your right or turn the steering wheel. This has been proven to be safer then a driver driving such as it reacts faster and can't become tired, distracted, or intoxicated. You can even choose how it drives. If you want for it to drive cautiously or agressivly it's just a click of a button. Google says they don't plan to sell it at the moment, but one thing is for sure it would change the as dramaticly as the internet has.

Flying Car!

This car, created by Terrafugia Transitio, was passed for sale last week and will be on the roads in a matter of months. It is a two seater and only needs a straight road to take off. It has a top speed of 115 miles per hour and is roughly the sive of a sedan. Almost 200 have been preordered already and it only takes 20 hours to learn how to fly! It's retail price is $227,000 but has a down payment of only $10,000. It's the thing people have dreamed about or years and is surprisingly affordable.

Roller Skating

I went rollerskating this weekend. I love the way skating feels. I skate a lot so it's like separate pair of feet for me. I have inline skates which makes it harder but more fun. I found these skates online

IT'S A JETPACK!

This jetpack, created by Glenn martin is the first to hold enough fuel to be practical. Though very bulky and heavy, (over 250 Ilbs) makes up for it in speed and flying time. It's powered by a motorbike engine and to mini propellers. They are controlled by joysticks on the handles. The left controls the direction and the right controls the throttle. They can go up to a thousand feet up and can fly for a half hour. That alone makes it pretty awesome thing.
